Covid 19 conspiracies dump
RE: Covid 19 conspiracies dump
The claim you made was that natural immunity was better full stop. Not just that it’s better than getting the vaccine and no illness. You’ve been slagging off vaccination for the past couple weeks when even the study you’ve shown shows that, all else being equal (including whether or not you’ve had it before), it’s still better to get the jab. And it looks like only now have you focused on that one particular point about how getting natural immunity alone is better than getting just the vaccine alone. And Hell, you’ve said that everybody’s probably going to get COVID sooner or later, and, if that’s true, then getting the vaccine still makes it far more likely that it’s going to present as “just the flu.”

That's not true. I've not changed my position. Quote me where I've claimed that natural immunity gives you better protection than getting the vaccine and then getting the natural immunity on top of that. I've been questioning the boosters the past couple of weeks, and this CDC data seems to suggest that boosters will not help young people any more from getting hospitalized if they've already had covid. It doesn't appear that boosters are necessary for young people who've had covid, and I don't support a one size fits all approach that calls for boosters for all, and ignores natural immunity. The mainstream has been ignoring natural immunity, to push the one size fits all agenda to get everyone boosted, which is highly questionable.

I've never said I am against vaccination for adults. My position has been that I am against people being compelled to take it, and I took it, but I am not willing to endorse it for other people, because it is new and there are unknowns and it was brought to market very quickly, so I think people should be able to make their own risk assessment. I've never claimed that people who take the vaccine don't have better protection against covid. That much is obvious. Why do you think I took the vaccine lol? Of course the vaccine gives you some protection against covid and lessens your symptoms and hospitalization level and all of that. Not once have I claimed otherwise.

Do you have the receipts proving your claim, or are you going to stick with just memes?

We can all read your BS and lies.

Why not answer the questions I have asked you repeatedly?

The data does show that natural immunity is better than immunity from vaccination. You have not provided the quote that I asked for. Do you think I got the vaccine for no reason and that I thought it wouldn't be of any help? I did it just for shits and giggles? I stand by what I posted about Omicron as well. I assume that we are all going to catch covid, and I'm glad I caught the very mild variant and have acquired the immunity from said variant. I think I'm one of the lucky ones having had Omicron, and I think that saying Omicron could be like a vaccine in a way is a pretty reasonable take.

Look, I appreciate how much work you've put into responding to my claims and all of the sources you have provided, and I think you are coming at this more in good faith than most on here, but somewhere along the line you have misunderstood my position and you are arguing against a position that no one is arguing for.

If I misunderstood your position, it's only because you're shit at explaining it, and the matter is not helped by your habit of casting doubt on the vaccines (or at least the boosters). It's one thing to point out that the data says getting the vaccine but not the disease might have less complications than getting the disease and not the vaccine, but not pointing out that the same dataset you used says that getting both the vaccine and the disease ended up being the best option, claiming natural immunity is better with few clarifications, treating getting Omicron as equivalent to getting the vaccine, and decrying both the vaccine system and restrictions being placed on the unvaccinated really points in one direction, even if you're claiming you're not going there.

Catching a disease is not like a vaccine in any reasonable way, IA. Works well as an attempt at gallows humor, though.

Fair enough. Maybe I didn't explain my position well enough and I accept your criticism.

Having natural immunity alone and not having had any vaccine still provides one with very significant immunity though, as the data shows, and this was a position that people were disputing on here, and the Fauci side of things was not acknowledging this in congress when asked about it, and natural immunity has not been taken into account when it comes to vaccine passports and vaccine mandates at work etc. This is wrong imo. People were fired from their jobs when there was no need for it based on the data.
