Yeah, that's not a playful word.  If someone suspects you of delusions, you would be well advised to take them seriously.  And yes, people can detect delusional behavior.  It is usually when they make incredible claims about themselves and reject extremely well known concepts of reality.  Donald Trump is a well known delusional person.  If you have any similar qualities, you're delusional.

What do you find "cool" about him?  His perpetual lying?  His tax frauds?  Cheating on his wives?  Lewd comments about his daughter?  His complete lack of grasp on reality?  His inability to complete a whole sentence when speaking?  His attempt to corrupt the 2020 election and an attempted coup?  Did I mention the fact that he lies with almost every single breath?  He has so many great qualities...
