Ok computer techs, what say you?

I really hate big businesses that do not have call centers so you can have a live person walk you through the problem. Even my local cable company has people I can talk to live, even after hours to get help. In fact, I forgot my local email through my cable company, and got that password reset so I could have Twitter send me a new code to my local cable email.

Twitter keeps dumping me to the standard log in as if I knew my password, then when I try too many times it tells me to wait. I am stuck in a fucking loop.

And why aren't you using a password manager, like Lastpass, or at least saving your passwords in your browser?

The entire reason I got in this mess yesterday was because Facebook Crashed, and I stupidly thought I got hacked on Facebook. Normally when you get a slowdown, or hiccup, clearing your cache and cookies and history clears things up. In my case it also erased my password history too. Fortunately for me I remember the password for this site and Facebook, but not Twitter. Now I cant log back into my Twitter account.

Occasionally a cookie will reset my browser from Google to Yahoo, and I will have to go to my settings and switch it back.

If I had simply done nothing and waited, I wouldn't be in this mess. I panicked and assumed the worst. And that made it worse.

I repeat, why aren't you using a password manager, like Lastpass, or at least saving your passwords in your browser?  There's no possible way to remember all the passwords we use today.  Don't even try.  Let a PW manager do that, or your browser.

Somewhat related. Did anyone else watch the big Facebook whistleblower on 60 min Sunday night? I saw that she is in a congressional hearing today. Can we request a breakup of Facebook?

And I'm convinced this event is related to the outage yesterday. FB must have done some massive recoding.

I watched 60 Minutes.  The whistleblower has put herself in the hot seat for a worthy cause.  That's brave and crazy.  I hope SNL goes with Kate McKinnon but will also be pleased if Cecily Strong gets the part.

Sometimes it is on my end when it comes to any problem. I've walked around my house looking for my house keys while I am holding them. If you ever watched the sitcom Frasier, I would be Bulldog. "WHERE THE HELL IS,......." only to say "Oh, here it is".

But this time it was not me. This time it was a billionaire who couldn't keep his shit together. My mistake was assuming it was me. Just like when you are driving and go off the curb but over correct and boomerang across the highway, despite the fact you did so because you didn't want to run over the squirrel.

Yes, I did panic and it cost me. But the outage in any case was not my fault.

We know it wasn’t your fault. No one said it was your fault. No one implied it was your fault. In fact, some of us went to great lengths to point out that it WASN’T your fault.

We don’t have squirrels here, but if we did, I would run over them with joyous abandon. Fucking bushy-tailed tree rats, that’s what they are.

My mom's therapist saved a baby squirrel. He even built it an in home habitat. The guy was cute and adorable, and very friendly. It eventually escaped, but not because it hated humans, it simply grew up. If you hate squirrels it only means you hate squirrels, it doesn't mean that individual squirrel is evil.

All animals you don't like are bad?

Bats and black cats are wrongfully vilified in pop culture. Doubt the Irwins would agree with you that squirrels are deserving of scorn. I don't like snakes or great whites, but they all are part of nature and benefit life.

In fact, this episode clip made me appreciate fruit bats more than I did before. They are very social.

Squirrels here would be an invasive species, and as such would do more harm than good. It’s not hate, or thinking that animals are evil (animals CAN’T be evil). It’s a matter of ecological awareness.
