The doctor I had lined up was the only person I knew...also, it can't be just anyone. The person has to work in a STEMM field.

Have you considered placing an ad in a newspaper?

Hello!

While I identify as a "Non-thiest", I do not hold the academic qualificiatons that you seek. Sad

Hopefully some nice forum member might be able to help further your cause/studys. Great

Have yo tried looking on Youtube?

As a side note. WHy might not a 'Common person' or 'Blur collar worker' meet the needed level of interaction for which you seek? Am curious.

Much cheers.

Not at work.

I'm guessing that the assignment (or his/her take on it) was to develop a theological response to counter anti-theist science positions.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I do not possess the qualifications you seek, but maybe you'd have some luck lurking in the science section.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

How can anyone hold qualifications in the "STEMM field" since that does not exist?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Thanks to everyone who responded. I have found someone willing to help me with this assignment!

The reason it must be with a person in a STEMM field is because one of the objectives of the assignment is to see if field of study has any impact on religious views. The purpose of the interview is to gain insight into the culture of scientists and thinkers and provide an opportunity for real-world feedback and engagement with an analytical non-believer. The course looks heavily into science and faith.

I'm going to stick around this forum! I think this is going to be an interesting place. I've never been an atheist but I am a (newer) Christian. I am a former agnostic, and Christian of 7 years. Looking forward to getting to know you all, hopefully!

Well, there are books, interviews, lectures on youtube by atheist scientists talking about that, you can always look into those.
