I love folk metal. Saw Korpiklaani at a festival not too long ago. Good times especially when a few drinks are at hand. Of the melodic folk metal, musically I'm a fan of Tyr
I think this is their best album, with Land close second

From findland, of course we also have Ensiferum, which are great fun (the new album is coming out now which looks promising). Saw Turisas once, they were pretty interesting, too.
Pretty funny too from near here are Heidevolk. Dutch language and metal are a pretty good match if you ask me

Ooh, I love Ensiferum and Korpiklaani. I didn't know they were releasing another album, cool.
I'm gonna be a patriot. A little Jewish influences here and there, but altogether Polish.

Haha, awesome, I love the rough female vocals.
I'm not so convinced of the German folk metal scene.

They were opera singers before they joined the band. I don't know much from Germany. I used to listen to that one band, but I don't remember the name. We don't have much good ones in Poland either.

The lyrics of this polish band remind me.... not so much metal but an awesome album in my eyes, Garmarna's Vittrad

Also the most gruesome lyrics
In Germany, Menhir come to mind. In a more death metal inspired style, Equilibrium. And now I don't know anymore. Ah, there are also Varg. Strange people, that

Yeah, Equilibrium, that's it!
Sounds pretty good. Huh, I don't understand anything, so I'll take your word on that
One of my favorites.

Oh, me neither, it's some version of Swedish. I just read the translation.

That would probably be why. I thought my German was worse than it's supposed to be
That reminds me. Whenever I hear Belarusian I think my Russian has gotten rusty.

Now that is some heavy riffing folk metal
Ok, what else to expect from a Band from Belarus...
Gotta go do some tedious work... with some noisy blackish dark metal background maybe?
