Can others here do a google search, not use the link in my sig, but a google search for http://www.rationalresponders.com and see if you get the same message. I know the owner said he wasn't active with it, but it still had a cloud copy I was using.

I'm getting the same error.

Brian did warn me a year or so ago that there wasn't enough daily traffic to make it worth upkeeping. I'd say however, when you scroll down on the left side of the page after logging in, it tells you how many are online. It has been averaging 20 to 50 views per day. But here is the thing, those are all unique views, meaning new people looking. Add that up over a year, and a decade, that amounts to a lot of people in any case. All the major traffic died because of the rise of social media such as Twitter and FB. But he kept it alive as an archive for resources not just the message board part. I cant begin to guess how many lives he has changed since 07 when he started the site.
Server issue on the other end.
I tried a couple different browsers. (April 21, 2022 at 7:48 pm)Jehanne Wrote: Try this: Just did. And even that website is saying it is down.
The next step would be the WhoIs check:
https://lookup.icann.org/ Looks like they are good through next year. (April 21, 2022 at 10:54 pm)Jehanne Wrote: The next step would be the WhoIs check: That is weird. Ok then one site is saying it is down. This site is saying it is good until next year. Let me ask you this then, does the creator and owner of any website have to maintain their cloud too? If I am reading the site you linked here correctly, it looks like he has two clouds.
Probably what Jehanne meant is that the domain is paid for till next year. That just means the owner has the name till then.
If the server is jacked, it would be like what happened here a couple weeks ago. All you can hope for is that the owner shows up and fixes the server issue.
Good news!
Brian Sapient pm'd me on Twitter saying the site would be back up soon! YEA! |
