I'll be too busy watching baseball. At least the results of that aren't pre-ordained. Though I must say, if you want to avoid being accused of political theater, don't hire a high falutin tv producer.

Too many people are far too cynical about this.
Facts matter. Upholding the Constitution matters. "Boring" or "political theater" or "useless" all miss the point in my opinion.
Too much detail. Too much evidence. After a while, everyone is just desensitized to it.

I thought I was desensitized to it, but was surprised watching tonight how much the video footage brought back to me. It really didn't feel like 2 hours. As hard as it was to watch, I could have watched it all night long.
I saw that shit when it happened. I'd volunteer to pull the handle for the trap.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
I won't watch it.
But I will watch the Utah firing squads that hopefully follow. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" RE: Jan. 6 Committee

They should take hostages. That would bump up the ratings.

The problem is that for a large faction of the population, facts don’t matter, or they can’t tell the difference between a fact and a falsehood. It literally doesn’t matter how much evidence we have on the guy, which, based on what we already know, seems to be a ridiculous amount such that no rational person could deny what Trump tried to do with the 2020 election. But the reality is that it isn’t going to move needle one bit with regard to the voters. When are Dems going to learn that “look how awful Trump is!” is a lousy strategy? It failed them in 2016, and it’s going to fail them again. These hearings aren’t going to distract people from the fact that the party hasn’t been able to find its ass with both hands for two years.
Nay_Sayer: “Nothing is impossible if you dream big enough, or in this case, nothing is impossible if you use a barrel of KY Jelly and a miniature horse.”
Wiser words were never spoken.
The people who need to watch the hearings won't. The people who don't need to watch the hearings will. And ne'er the twain shall meet.
