Hi from sunny Cornwall UK.
Hi All,

Agnostic Atheist who has never believed in god/gods but grew up in a culturally christian background.

I think everyone is entitled to their beliefs as long as they do not impact on others, problem is the more you understand about religion the more you see it impacts on everyone's life even in the relatively laid back atmosphere of the UK.

Because I am an atheist it tells you nothing about my world view other than I lack a belief in god/gods. So there are plenty of subjects for us to get to know each others views on.

Look forward to some interesting debates.

Roger

"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Welcome. Were you involved in scouting at all, or is the name just a coincidence?

Boru

It is a nickname I have had since I was a teenager, brought about by my size and the fact I was always singing.

Welcome Baloo! As long as you brought the bear necessities, you'll be fine here.
