I only watch movies in their original framerate, and I have a TV that can do original 24 fps without 3:2 judder (it takes a 120 Hz screen with proper firmware).

Our brain processes 24 fps differently than high fps.  For me, at high framerate, I become extremely focused on the motion of the camera.  If cinema is going to use high fps in the future, they may need new camera motion techniques.

This surprised me, but only a dozen or so movies have gone beyond the standard 24 fps:

Not too surprising, given that, even now, High Frame Rate movies still look uncanny as fuck.





They also have to be expensive to produce (which wound up being a factor in why the film industry stuck with 24 frames per second after the introduction of sound forced them to standardise frame rates.)
