As with Michigan, there will have to be the Great Divide.

P.S. They can have Georgia.

Ever thought of laying a domestic market map over an electoral one? I think you'd find that those red states sucking up federal dollars betray the cause of their need for those federal dollars, in that exchange. California, for example, is an agricultural powerhouse and the stereotypical example of a successful state...but where does it get it's water and fertilizer from?

Exploited labor markets elsewhere...then, you know, for good measure, they do it there too. The us does not survive a breakup - nothing to do with federal dollars, which would not be quite so plentiful for the remaining states if they did. It's not a coincidence that the reich wing is successful in the former american congo, or that blue states make bank while red states lose. That shit is -not- a bug, it's a feature.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I wonder how many of those red states would be blue if they didn't have bullshit laws designed to keep a good-sized portion of the population away from the polls. And on to the OP, if there's a reason to rehabilitate Nixon, it's literally only because his Republican successors (like Bush II and Trump) have pushed the bar straight to Hell. One where we can say "you know, motherfucker tried to rig an election, but at least he didn't try to completely overthrow the electoral system just because he didn't get his way." Christ, the UK's had three PMs in as many months, and even though they've shit the bed this badly, their system seems to somehow be more stable than America's with at least some level of decency. Doesn't necessarily mean BoJo, Truss, or Sunak are all that good. They're just not Trump.

Republicans used to be respectable. Now they're just the clown party.

You shouldn’t sign your posts. It’s creepy and indicates an unhealthy level of narcissism.
