I've always felt that way and don't understand why anyone wouldn't. I get pleasure out of helping other people be happy. I like the potential it has for building closeness in a relationship, and even if I know I'll never see them again, I know I've helped another human being out in tough times, and I can sleep easier at night.

why be decent or good?
