The Principle of Contingent Causation: The Impossibility of Infinite Regress.
RE: The Principle of Contingent Causation: The Impossibility of Infinite Regress.

As a result, potential infinity is often formalized using the concept of a limit."

Funny, you left out the part where Wikipedia says, "Actual infinity is now commonly accepted." You've quoted a source as authoritative when that source refutes your position. Smooth move.

Not actual infinites formed by successive addition.

Some think actual infinites exist in the mind of God.

The Wiki link says: "One proof is based on the notion of God. First, from the highest perfection of God, we infer the possibility of the creation of the transfinite, then, from his all-grace and splendor, we infer the necessity that the creation of the transfinite in fact has happened. (G. Cantor [3, p. 400])"

The day Atheists see the reality of the First Cause is not an unpleasant conclusion to be feared or avoided at all costs, but a wonderful Truth to be heartily accepted will be a happy day for them. It is that same First Cause, the Supreme Creator, the Loving Father, gradually enlightening their mind step by step. As by steps we proceed backward to the knowledge of the First Cause, from the knowledge of created effects, so by steps we come to understand more about that First Cause.

The successive addition bit is a red herring as an infinite past wasn't formed by successive addition. How many times do we have to repeat this before it penetrates your rock-hard skull?

I already did. I'm not going to repeat myself.

I don't know whether you've been keeping up on current events pal, but you just got your ass kicked. I showed that it's possible that the universe began, is past finite, and still is the first cause. Apparently, you don't read so good. Or at all.

Successive addition isn't remotely relevant. How many times do you have to be told this before it sinks in. Have you suffered some form of brain damage?

The day you acknowledge you are wrong about this and stop spewing nonesense because you desperately need to believe in it will be a happy day  Hehe

Lol. Hollow bravado from someone losing the actual argument.

The temporal series of past moments IS as series formed by successive addition, therefore you have nothing. Because such a series cannot be actually infinite, therefore the past of the Universe is not infinite.

You need to postulate all kinds of absurdities to maintain your Atheism. An infinite number of contingent beings to avoid the Necessarily Existent Supreme Being. Lol, you can keep believing absurdities if you want, but the Universe had a beginning, is therefore contingent, and is not the First Cause.
