How do Islamic theologians study the Bible in countries where Hebrew is illegal?

How do Islamic theologians study the Bible in countries where Hebrew is illegal?
If I am not mistaken, in many Islamic countries studying Hebrew is illegal. Yet, the Koran assumes that the reader is familiar with the Bible. But most of the books of the Bible are originally written in Hebrew. So, how do Islamic theologians in those countries study those books of the Bible?

In translation, presumably.

I was unable to find any sources indicating that Hebrew is outlawed in Islamic countries. I’d be happy to see your references for this. In fact, Jews and Christians, as dhimmi, have protections under Islamic law. You’re safer being an observant Jew in Iran than you are being a Muslim apostate.

And, as Rev said, I would imagine they can study the Bible in Arabic.

They do the Arabic equivalent of what Evangelicals do in the Bible Belt, read the King James Only, in King James English, just like Jesus talked.

I can't find any evidence of this though Googling. Could you link me to your source on Hebrew being illegal in some places?

Just as food for thoughts:

Arab governments are more zionist than Israelies. They love and adore Hebrew.
Though, Arab populations hate Jews and feel for Palestinians, wishing Palestine would be liberated.

It isn't so much that Arab populations hate Jews as it is that they hate Israel.

It isn’t so much they hate Israel as they hate the long standing power disparity with the west of which is Israel is the most tangible and visceral symbol de jure.
