I have a kilometer or so of them. They're very good at their job. I have a steel support* in the basement and I wrap the bungies around it. A carabineer clip keeps them from flying around when my Force 0 muscles give out. I keep the equivalent of 250 lbs of weights in a cardboard box that I move around with one hand. As for brands, every set I bought over the years has done the job regardless of "brand name". Once you get them and get a feel for them you can look for accessories if you wish. I bought everything from Amazon. There are youtube videos if you want to peruse. *A pipe to support the first floor. RE: Resistance bands recommendation?

BTW, the reason I use bands is I saw a guy drop a barbell, ~125 lbs., on another guy's foot. Metatarsals went one way, he went the other. We had get him down and held him while a tourniquet was applied. Meat wagon guys flew in, slammed him on a gurney, loaded his noisy ass up, and took off, never said a word. When I'm working alone I remember that day. Makes my readouts jump sometimes and the angel on my shoulder is calling me with her daily what-the-fuck-are-you-doing-now line.
The Dead Kennedys are my go-to resistance band.
Provided you don't have a latex allergy you want latex bands and not thermoplastic rubber. Beyond that, you want bands that end in sleeves with carabiners. They're more expensive, but not by much. The ones that end in loops don't have the same range of activities..and they bust at the loops. The brand doesn't matter that much. It's a simple product.
My house is filthy with resistance bands. I've been using them since the early aughts and my daughter has been using them since she was born. We mostly use FOSER stuff now....if I was going to make recommendations - but keep in mind we use these because they market to archers. What I would do..is go to the gym and see which brands they're using.
