Post a Cool Cover
This thread is for posting interesting covers of popular songs. Have at it! Especially, if the new version is interesting in some way. [No Dick Cheese allowed!]

Frank Sinatra - Mrs. Robinson

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

This is and isn’t a cover. If you remember a song with the inexplicable title of “Sukiyaki”, well, it’s basically that song with new English lyrics, translated from the original by (of all people) Yoko Ono. Fortunately, she had someone else actually sing it. Not sure what I think about changing up the arrangement or making the lyrics more prescriptive than descriptive, but at least it’s finally got a faithful English version.
