Currently it's thundering and the wind is blowing a gale. I may skip my pickup of paperwork at the office today as this mess is supposed to last most of the morning here. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice; with the crap weather rolling back in the next day.

Good grief this is a kick ass storm. Power flickered off and on. My patio furniture has been rearranged and the wind is blowing the rain in under the laundry room door.

After the update I gave above...the shit hit the fan. Much of the town is without power. My son had shingles blown off his roof, again. Apparently there are random trampolines all over town. Power lines are down and all other sorts of chaos.

Husband is home because there's no power at his place of employment. Son was trying to dodge around detours, downed trees and lines to get to work.

My biggest issue was that the rain blew so hard against one side of the house that it was blowing rain under the laundry room door.  Fixed that with an old towel.

Thankfully, my cousins in Carrolton are safe and no damage to their house. I've got the back porch wrapped up here, we're expecting the same system 'round eleven or maybe earlier.
