Went to a car show that was the last one at his location until next year. Only 90 degrees, so not too bad. Met a couple of friends. Had a decent time.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

As much as I hated spending all that money on a new AC, I sure am glad we have it! I envy you. It's been hovering around 110F here in Phoenix for the past week - in October!. We are supposed to get down to where you were at over a month ago in another week. I sure hope so.

Cool, overcast, misting. Makes me a little homesick.

HOT! in the high 90s. I stayed inside all day until I had to go buy dog food. I did manage to put a final coat of varnish on the top of the base of a buffet I bought a few days ago. I made the mistake of putting the first coat on when it was stupid hot outside, and had to a lot of sanding. Wore through some spots and had to reapply stain to them. All is good, now.

Hopefully, we had our last 110F day this year. The temperature is forecast to drop slowly over the next 10 days to the point where we finally reach double digits. I can't wait!

First rain in nearly 2 months. Prob just enough to green up the lawn.
I can finally hear myself think today.
Last three days have been The Pacific Airshow that happens this time of year, down on the sand. Many of the flight teams turn around, and re-enter the show area, flying right over my house at mach .9 at about 300 feet. I can see the pilots, and a couple have waved. They haven't broken any windows yet, but it seems close. Car alarms going off in abundance after every pass. It was a lot of fun, and we'd have parties in the past, walk down to the water and watch, even. But we're over it. As for weather, this year was somewhat unusual, as the typical "June Gloom" (in October) was in full force, and the marine layer made both flying and observing quite difficult. Some demos were canceled each day, and scheduling was intermittent, as they waited for openings in the clouds. Those that flew below the cloud ceiling (Thunderbirds, F22s etc) were especially loud. Probably sound reflecting off the bottom of the cloud deck.
Disappointing theists since 1968!
