It's so funny. What do you all know about me that makes you hate me? Is it hateful to want legal immigration? If so, all of Congress hates brown and black people because they made the immigration laws which I support.

I have a box of paperwork from when my grandfather came over from Germany.  I am not sure how much has changed but he had to have a skill/trade (he was a master carpenter), an American sponsor, had to agree to learn to speak English...among other things.  There was a strict deadline on how long he had before he had to take and pass a citizenship test. It wasn't even easy in the 20s and 30s to come into America to stay legally.

The biggest issues when people are talking about immigrants are legal and undocumented.  They are not the same thing.

My wondering is more along the thought process of which jobs specifically are undocumented immigrants taking away from everyone else. After all, if it's so easy to get these jobs without proper documentation, why aren't more Americans doing it?
