A 23-year-old man and father of five was sentenced to six years in prison after he severely beat his two-year-old son because he thought the child was gay.

As to the seriousness of this story.  How in the hell does a two year old act gay?  Dude didn't get nearly enough prison time...but then, inmates aren't all that fond of people who hurt kids so it may be just enough time.
