Since we’re doing tribbles trivia, the studio thought there might be some legal issues, since David Gerrold’s tribbles were eerily similar to Robert Heinlein’s flat cats (‘The Rolling Stones’).
Heinlein could have asked for money or screen credit (or both), but was very gracious about the whole thing and didn’t see a problem.
