If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I go by Jackie Leigh now. My first name is taken from Jackie Rush from the sitcom Too Close For Comfort. For those who do not know I have been transitioning for a year and a half now.

And to all the theists reading this, none of this was on demand, you don't simply walk in and get it done. I had to clear many medical conditions that I had, I had to also get a colonoscopy and a cancer screening, and had to have my labs taken, and blood pressure monitored. Even the day before my doctor almost didn't do it. In my final consultation she was missing a test result and if it were not for my insistence in calling the doctor who did it to get the record, it wouldn't have been done. AND she wanted me to buy a specific compression garment, and I didn't get the correct one. She told me if I did not find it by tomorrow(the day of the surgery) she wouldn't do it. $200 in cab fare and hitting several stores, I bought several to make sure I had something she could say ok to.  I had to clear tons of hurdles to get it done. And those hoops are there to insure I don't die during the surgery.

Surgery isn't a cure all. It isn't a utopia. And the process of healing is intense. But even with all that, I have absolutely no regrets. I have the contour wearing panties and pantihose without the bulge. I don't have to worry about them annoying me and constantly having to adjust them. And I especially love that I don't have to worry about having to push and aim when sitting down to go.

And I get complements all the time when going out. I even had a guy tell me I was pretty at a grocery store.

But sorry guys, not into guys.

welcome back.

Welcome back, tbh the surgery sounds scary as hell, but if the end result makes you feel better then that's fine. 👍

Wow, this is big news. I think we were all wondering if you were OK, so I'm glad to hear from you.

The many hoops you had to jump through do sound tedious, but I'm very glad that your doctors demanded perfection. That's way better than "meh, good enough, we can always fix it later" (which is the way I do carpentry).

I hope that the healing and new adjustments go as well as they possibly can. Good luck to you.
