Brilliant, brilliant man, Pratchett. Better even than Adams, to my mind.

make a sacrifice of every believer, leaving a world full of atheists, thus compelling god to fuck off somewhere else in search of the gullible.
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

Completely agree, such a shame about the alzheimer's, I'm going to miss him.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.

Hear, hear to that. Thankfully, he is writing non-stop to leave an even bigger wake.
Yeah, I meant the double entendre.
Cheers!

It is well known that you kill a god by not having any belief in it. In Black & White, a PC game, you got to play as a god and you lost the game when people no longer believed in you. Horrendous game but it had that one logical point.

You annihilate him in a puff of logic! Lack of believers will be hard, for to want kill it, you'd have to believe in it. Wouldn't it suck being the one of the only anti-theistic theists, who, by existing yourself and believing in that which you want to kill, are causing that very thing to continue existing? Not the way to go if you ask me. You can't rely on videogame rules, if we can then lets just delete his code/hack the universe.
Man i loved black and white and black and white two... simcity also... I'd make a terrible world leader I know that much.
Serious Question: If it were real, would you have the balls to rebel?

Never played those game's but civilizations was my game of choice, and I made an awesome leader and politician. First id give my ally all my resource's and technology to go to war with another country, and when he was intwined in an all out war id sneak my force's behind them ally the person I paid to have attacked, wipe out my former ally and the person I paid to have destroyed and allied. There, I trippled my resource's land and technology, awesome leader.

I have a question: Is Black & White 2 any better or interesting? I hated going from village to accursed village, and wasting my time protecting my position.

Its an old game now, but yeah it's a lot better than B&W I. The fourth level of B&WI I think it was was a nightmare huh. Those problems were sorted out, game flows now, no more impossibly annoying bits. Its the same stuff, silly/quirky side quests, pet, ability to do horrible things to virtual people, or have your pet do them (taken up a notch in B&WII actually), ability to be horrible to you pet, better spell interface...
