RE: Hey hey hey.
Cheers guys Smile

I do use a lot of guesswork, (which is why I 'guess' religion isn't for me as a whole). I do like to look into it all though in an academic sense. I did start trying to read the bible but it was the 'begat' section which 'begot' me, (I mean seriously, there's so many pages and pages of names that it becomes like reading an ancient telephone directory). It is interesting to examine the metaphysical nature of the work though, (such as the 'Arcana Celestia'), as I feel there's a lot to learn from such texts without the artifice of religion coming in and polluting it.

Whilst it's also true that not all religions are organised I 'guess' I prescribe myself to the ideas not beliefs angle as ideas are interchangeable in regards to myself, (being the solipist that I am).

And yeah, Patton Oswalt is cool, (being a great example for us Brits that Americans do have a good sense of humour) Smile

Thanx Jimmy. America isn't such a bad place. I think we're hated more because of perception than reality.

Most of us want to leave the middle east alone, fix our own broken economy and let the world live in peace. It's our greedy elite, the bankers and the politicians who are screwing the world over - and thus, every single American citizen. I think the majority of us would just like to live and let live.

Being on top sucks and, me personally, I'd be happy to give the top spot away. Let somebody else police the world for the rest of time ... whoever eventually takes on that role can find out how much it sucks being hated by everyone.

Yeah, I don't blame any individual for the state of any nation, (especially when mine's not all that great either). Besides, it looks like China's headed for the top-spot soon anyway :/

Welcome to the forums.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post
