I often wonder what he would see in our future now if he were still alive.

Probably not, but he had an amazing ability to understand the future of the human race. One interesting thing I recently found out after reading a short bio on him was that he was born with a twin sister, who died after only 6 weeks. I guess that played a very large factor in his writing.

I have a friend who lost her twin brother in Iraq. She said that she felt a sorrow unlike any other when he died. Another friend was separated from her twin brother when they were twelve. She recently got back in touch with him and said that so many anxieties in her settled down when that happened.

What's the meaning or purpose of non existence? If there is none then even if the only purpose or meaning to life is to reproduce then that's already more. Also if we are the universe then whatever other meaning we apply to ourselves is universally significant. Lastly, just beause we haven't discovered any meaning outside what we give ourselves, that doesn't mean there is not one. There's just no good reason to believe there is one. Being alive gives us the opportunity to discover one. Something non existence can't provide.
