This Promises To Be Hugely Entertaining
http://apnews.excite.com/article/2011062...J2RG0.html

Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) - Michele Bachmann's claim that she has "never gotten a penny" from a family farm that's been subsidized by the government is at odds with her financial disclosure statements. They show tens of thousands in personal income from the operation.

And, on a less-substantive note, she flubbed her hometown history when declaring "John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa," and "that's the kind of spirit that I have, too," in running for president.

The actor was born nearly 150 miles away. It was the serial killer John Wayne Gacy Jr. who lived, for a time, in Waterloo.

As long as the dumb cunt doesn't get elected, that is.

Apparently she is tied with Mitt Romney in the polls in Iowa. That alone is enough to scare the hell out of me.

Iowa is a caucus state which means that only republicans who are motivated enough to get off their fat asses will choose.

These tea bagging shits are motivated and they like 'em stupid.

Even if it is just the hard core tea baggers supporting her it still scares the hell out of me that anyone considers her a viable candidate.

Please, don't remind me. I'm still trying to wash the stink off from those eight years.

That, however, was the past. I'm concerned about this being our future.

The trouble with MB getting elected is she wouldn't get anything done. Even the republicans would not go with her radical ideas because the people that elect them are NOT going to be happy when you continue to de-regulate the American economy more and more.

155million females in the US as of 09. I'm wondering what makes this one "electable" and the rest...not so much. I refuse to believe this is the best we have to offer. But you're right, gonna be a lot of comedians making careers out of the next election cycle.

Don't worry. The Iowa Republican Caucus has become so comically Christian fundy nutjob that Romney isn't even bothering much with the state (he's focusing on New Hampshire). Romney isn't running as the "Christian family values" guy. He saw where that got him last time and his Mormon faith combined with his record as governor makes that whole approach a non-starter (really, how did he think that was going to play out). He's expecting to lose Iowa and because of where Iowa Republicans have gone politically, getting that nomination isn't what it used to be.

Remember that Iowa picked Huckabee last time, who crashed and burned with the more mainstream Republicans.

Bachmann will probably pick up Iowa and then go the way of Huckabee.

Yeah, I'm not really worried that she would get the nomination, and even if she did, that would be an automatic win for Obama. I think too many Republicans know this and would never give her a real shot. The fact that anyone actually thinks this idiot is a worthy candidate on any level, however, makes me ashamed of the level of stupidity in this country.
