It's about beer-thirty on a rainy Sunday evening, with thunder rolling and the pervasive perfume of the autumn season that's slowly lowering itself like a skilled and smiling courtesan into the welcoming arms of the Carolinas.
For some reason, it makes me think of us all meeting up and this seems like as good an anthem as any for it.
so here's a health to the company
and one to my lass
let's drink and be merry
all out of one glass
let's drink and be merry
all grief to refrain
for we may or might
never all meet here again

Monday night boredom setting in.
I made this little goodnight signature box.
No reason. Just cause.
Goodnight.

awhhhhh-whewww
Good to be back in my own unpretentious little hideaway of a thread. No one has any issues in a Goodnight/Drinking/Smoking Thread.
mmmm ... whiskey.
I have a big comfy chair, I think I'll go drink this bad boy in.

Alright, so for whatever reason, I've cut and pasted Rayaan's picture several times for everyone's amusement and realized that in doing so it may appear that I am picking on him. (which I'm pretty sure he knows I'm not)
However, that being the case, I have decided to mock myself with a few silly pictures I made on my IPOD.
Thanx for always being a good sport Rayaan. And yes, that is me as the Mona Lisa, and yes, I make a hideous woman.

You're welcome.
And don't worry, because I wouldn't care being mocked for who I am.
I think it's okay to do this stuff just for fun.

I've come back from class smelling like sweet basil, lavender, the Old California scent of Russian sage and the sticky spice of rosemary. There's a tinge of faint mint from the bee balm I picked right behind my ear. The moon is the barest of crescents - like Artemis' silver bow, and the sky is like one of those delicately jeweled lace dresses, black and faintly sparkling. You can smell wet foliage and the heavy sweet perfume of bay magnolia. It's a good night to be alive. It's a good night to wail out good music.
One day I had a discussion with friends about what made rock different now as opposed to then. I'm not sure when exactly the change over happen - perhaps in the 80's, but one thing is for sure: Now, people rock out to escape life. Back then, people rocked out to celebrate life.
So cheers, folks. Here's some of what was going through my stereo tonight.

So I just spent the better part of a day with FaithNoMore here in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
We had some lunch, some drinks, saw some bad ass art here at Art Prize and even shot some billiards. Good guy to hang with.
Thanks for driving down here for the afternoon FNM.
Cheers!
