..and to top it off. This man has been trained, and is training others to think that war, poverty, famine and destruction are the signs that Jesus will come back soon. They will actually get excited when more of those things happen.

The whole of Christianity is a death cult. They worship a zombie they believe died to take away all the worlds sins. Which means, if that were true, there is no more sin in the world. That or, Jesus was a miserable failure and lied.
Believers symbolically eat flesh and drink Jesus blood in order to commune with the zombie, so that they'll be forgiven for being created in deficit as sinners by god who created the first man from dust of the earth, but needed an angel to mount a virgin in order to bring himself into the world as Jesus. While, if they believe god/Jesus suffered and died to change their circumstances that he as god created them to suffer in the first place, they'll be redeemed of their sins. Yet, they'll still sin. Because they're human and that's what they are; sinners.

And all the while, all the life of that Christian is lived while looking forward to dying so they can finally be better people when they're dead.

Death cult. Obviously. Their god is a psychopathic mass murderer and sadist. And their savior is a zombie who promised to return before "this generation passeth away". Now nearly three thousand years late, Jesus lied again and is the icon of tardy, while his faithful see he kept his promise when he shows up on the butt's of dogs, on receipts and on oxidized glass. And anywhere else a bearded Jew outline happens to appear.

While proof god is love abounds, as the faithful take it all as a sign that the worst calamities that happen are god's short hand promising the end of the world. And Christians can't wait because they think we deserve it , while they'll finally be outta here having the last words; we told ya so!

And why not? Christians do. Everytime they sit in a pew and put money in the offering plate. Everytime that minister assures them, what they give god shall bless thrice over. Everytime a filthy rich Televaingelist preaches about giving money, in some way or other interjecting that begging into any sermon on their lips, emploring the faithful that even if they're dirt poor every penny is blessed. Yes, with every drop of a coin, every fall of a folded bill, they buy that.

But does it pay?
No? Well, there's an answer for that. And it's totally free. God works in mysterious ways. It's a mystery. God does keep his word when Jesus said ask and it shall be given you. Yet god works on his own time when his wisdom deemes it appropriate. Not by your schedule. God has a plan.

What about money being the root of all evil?
Shhhh! You're not suppose to remember that, because without that root the giant shade tree wouldn't stand before the million dollar mansion, where the Bentley is found parked before the mahogany carved doors of pastors home.

When "Vicar of Christ" Joseph Ratzinger choose to put one Cardinal John Henry Newmen on the path to sainthood last August, he presumably has a favorable opinion of Newman's Christian values, Christian understanding, kindness and compassion.

Newman had a reasonably high opinion of his own Christian values as well. Enough so that he wrote them down, lest there be any confusion at a later date, such as when a Pope might wish to study his thoughts for evidence of exceptional Christian understanding. What he wrote down was this:

I have noticed that this one is VERY important to them. They enjoy the idea of gloating over the non-believers. It probably has to do with frustration, doubts they have. It may also deal with the fact that some of them are flat out assholes, and completely enjoy the idea of people they dont like burning in pain forever and ever.

Belief in Hell speaks VOLUMES of the inner scum lying on the minds of the believer. If you believe eternal torture is righteous, then any other form of torture and such on earth is considered merciful. So yeah, put them on the racks. Put their feet in boiling oil...anything to get them to convert and save them from an eternity of hell fire.

It has been my experience that those who try the hardest to follow more strict, fundamentalist religious faith are those with the most personal issues. Faith in something that goes against reason takes a serious toll on the person being manipulated. Coming out of such a background is a hell of a ride also.
