Proof that Christianity is destructive

I'm not afraid of the many disasters that are happening simultaneously in our world. I'm not afraid of all the wars that are currently raging on almost every continent on the globe. The potential for nuclear accidents globally doesn't frighten me. What terrifies me are good men and women saying and doing nothing when politicians we voted into office are making moral laws that contradict everything a Holy God stands for.

If someone desires to indulge in bestiality, anal sex, homosexuality or any other perverted sexual act, why does it have to be made a law? More important, why have more than 50 percent of Americans bought into the lie that it has to be legalized?

So world wide wars anddestruction and famine and death and nuclear accidents are just fine and should not be feared...but HOMOSEXUALS (who are lumped together with bestiality and anal sex, as it has long been known that only homo's have sex with animals or anal sex) being treated as human beings is something that everyone should fear and avoid.

..and the fundies wonder why we scoff and them more and more loudly as the years go by...they wonder why more and more people are laeving religion and embracing deism, agnosticism, and even open atheism.

I'd contend Christianity isn't destructive. It's a faith, philosophy, myth, superstition, fiction that on it's own has no power to do anything to anyone, or affect society at all. Rather, it's those who relate to the faith, philosophy, fail to realize myth is not fact and live by tenets of a superstition as if their fabled soul depends on strict compliance, that are destructive. Because they think they are the warriors for the cause of monotheism and Christianity exclusively. As if the whole world's people are decreed to be their responsibility to save and redeem. So that mortal efforts might insure a higher power rules his earthly kingdom undeterred by those faiths, philosophies, myths and superstitions in opposition.

While, if there's only one god, as Muslims declare as well and they too are part of the Abrahamic trinity, then there can be no other god within or outside the realms of time and space. So the conflict then is semantics.

This site is meant to be read with a sense of humor. At least by normal people. While the Bishop sounds like a man who'd take it very seriously, as if having penned some of the points himself.

All the talk of love and peace is just so much fluff that's quickly dumped when it comes time for the more important mission of saving souls from eternal torture. If the prospect of eternal torture is taken seriously and believed, than nothing is more important than saving loved ones from such a fate and everything can be justified to that end.

Indeed. This concept also clarifies what kind of person would enjoy this religion. Self-loathing, low self-esteem, and a sense of superiority/entitlement all go hand in hand.

..and to top it off. This man has been trained, and is training others to think that war, poverty, famine and destruction are the signs that Jesus will come back soon. They will actually get excited when more of those things happen.
