Here it is the way I, and, many of the atheists on the forum define those terms.
Atheist- Does not believe in God.
Agnostic- Does not know whether or not there is a God.
Both apply to many atheists on this forum, but in the absence of knowledge, belief is the next best thing, and so, we use the term "Atheist."

This one is easy. That is because I do not believe in god. I don't feel like there is no way of knowing nor am I unsure in any way. Why? Well, the reason people believe in god is a book that is not even a good book and has none of the features of a nonfiction book. It reeks of folklore and other types of fiction, such as outright bullshit. Therefore, I do not believe in god.
If I were to be agnostic, I would have to believe anything is possible and that leaves me in an awkward position.

Could there be some here-to-fore undescribed and possible god, sure why not (i think it would be a stretch to call it god if it did exist). But we don't have any evidence for such a thing, and so I feel that it is pointless to speculate upon until such time as either evidence, or the need to posit such a deity arises.
In short, "that which we call a rose" doesn't directly apply to deity. The evidence of God is all around and within you.

@FoeHammer: Word of advice, The bible and christian sites mean nothing to me. A book written by bronze age desert goat herders isn't really what I call 'proof'. In the site you mentioned I spotted about 2 logical fallacies, including: loaded question, false dichotomy, etc. And that was just by doing a superficial reading.

People who today believe in Jesus, Allah, whatever, don't believe in the ancient greek gods, or the slightly younger gods of the Roman empire. They don't believe in Ra or Anubis, the Goddess or any other deity that has been around since man came up with religion. So why does it seem so odd that I don't belive in the newest man-made gods?
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Check it out and let me know what you think. The website arguments are poor, and they can be dismantled by looking at the informal fallacies they commit. But why would this weak reasoning be impressive to you?Abstractions only exist within their frameworks eg numbers exist only within mathematics. The number 6 for example doesn't exist outside of this framework, there is no number 6 instantiated in the universe independent of mathematics. There are plenty of naturalistic accounts for objective morality, but this account goes one further and asserts absolute morality, and the classic emotive example of child rape/molestation. But is this the only thing god doesn't want us to do? If so why did the god of monotheism not tell us this in the only section of the bible he directly wrote, the 10 commandments? Instead he told his not to call him names and dont covet your neighbours donkey. What is the absolute morality around slavery, bigamy, homosexuality? Why wasn't god a little more helpful?
If the evidence of god is all around us and within us, what is it? I have missed that bit. And if that is a true statement, why haven't all polytheisms and monotheisms, all division of those monotheisms and all sub divisions of those divisions accepted the same god. I expect you will need to say we need to open our hearts. Meaning it's our fault we can't see the emperors new clothes.
