Recommendations?
Wondering if anyone has any good hip-hop recommendations? I want something with good bass preferably, something that will blast the shit out of a car stereo system.

Something like this:

One of my faves. Anything by him is good for bass. Smile

Not even sure if you would call it hip hop, but I found it on the first Resident Evil soundtrack and have loved it since.

I am insulted that you would call Massive Attack hip-hop. It's actually a sub genre of electronic music called trip-hop. I know, that's anal of me, but it's an important distinction.

Here is a band I like

It's a little different from Massive Attack but still good. If you're looking for something more along the lines of what you posted, look at Tricky's(from Massive Attack) solo stuff. Amon Tobin has some good stuff along the same lines but not all of it is in that genre. Also, check out anything on the Ninjatune record label.

That's what I could think of offhand. If you want more, I'll look at my library.

Boo-hoo. I don't normally listen to 'hip-hop' so forgive me for not knowing the proper distinction between that and a sub genre. It's all basically the same to me.

Maybe I was a bit harsh, but excuse me for trying to teach you something. Ignorance is bliss, eh Nappy?Big Grin

Having trouble with this computer so I will post more when I get a chance.

This one may be a little too jazzy but give it a try.

Are you looking for something with the purpose of showing off a stereo. Or just basking in the awe of it. Or are you looking for hip hop because you like listening to it.
