Baba yaga is so scary...Kichi, would you mind telling me the story? It's more interesting coming from someone who loves it, than just a website...
If you have a moment.

No I can not "Tell you" the story ...Time differences and all.
'Baba Yaga' herself is not scary and you are silly and childish to think so. The strength of the story is that Vassalisa didn't think that Baba Yaga was scary and so 'won' the "gift" of fire for her family and maturity for herself
I would recommend
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/book/978...pAodaVgbSg
Purchase it and READ. It is the best dissertation regarding the feminine archetype and the basis of "Fairy Stories " I have come across yet. (mind you I have not been able to "READ" much for the past 6 years or so.

Oh man...she wasn't afraid of her! amazing...amazing, that picture is so creepy. I have this fairy tale characters book and it talks about Baba Yaga, from what I remember it sets her up to be a pretty devious character. I'll look again tonight.
Also: Nihongo ga hanashimasu ka? Nihonjin desu ka? Honto ne kichigai desu ka?

For this I will have to answer in 'eigo'
Kichigai = "crazy" in Nihongo this is a very offensive word/name
In English it can mean many things ...for me it means "crazy" (in a good way) as in free, untamed, wild =crazy. Anything that is "Not of the bible" has been termed "crazy" and since I reject anything the bible has to say regarding morality I am happy to be called "crazy"
Non-Conformist is another term in English that has been attributed to the word "crazy"

Thank you for answering my questions. My Japanese is improving over time, but there is still so much to learn! I go to crunchyroll.com and I watch television in Japanese so that I can pick up vocabulary. I also watch the Korean dramas sometimes and I'm starting to really enjoy the Korean language as well!
Do you watch anime KichigaiNeko? Also, you mentioned you do not speak Japanese, unless I misinterpreted your response and you were in fact saying, that I do not speak Japanese...lol, were you studying it in the past?

それは何を私の喜びだった (It was my pleasure to do so)
I like Japanese and have studied it in my 'school years'... I "pick - up" words and phrases and like you my vocabulary is expanding but not enough to hold a conversation, so iie..I do not "speak Japanese".
I love Ghiblli Studios and of course grew up with anime I think "Astroboy" is the first I can remember.
