Quicktime works fine on my Windows 7 PC.
That's not what I meant. I meant that videos uploaded from my phone to my computer won't play on Microsoft's Moviemaker because when QT is installed on a pc it brands videos with a codec that mean they only play on QT. I've got a file converter but it's rubbish.

That's a combination of how video codecs work in Windows and limitations/retarded codec selection on the part of Windows Movie maker, which, by all means, you should not be using.

There are better solutions that certainly don't run afoul of the problem you mentioned while doing more.

He will be missed. A friend of mine is a senior engineer with Apple. Says that the man truly walked his talk and was very well loved by those who managed to stick it out under his reign.

AM I just being mean,or does Bill Gates seem like a bit of a parasite compared with Steve Jobs?

He does, and that is strange, because Gates gives massively to charity and Jobs never did. There is a definite quality of being that Jobs radiated.

Perhaps he gave but simply did it quietly. That would fit.

Considering what a huge, huge, huge philanthropist Gates is, I'd have to go with mean.

His foundation is trying to eradicate malaria right now. Sometimes with lasers.

I'm just going to post what I said on an other forum.

"I've been trying to gather up my thoughts and say how I feel without coming off rude, but I fear that no matter what I say I feel that it will be taken the wrong way. But I'll put it like this, I am not a big fan and was never a big fan of Apple and I did not agree with Steve Jobs business's policies or the way he normally ran things.

I did not know him personally, so I can't actually say what he was like outside of the job and his public image. Still, it is undeniable that he was a true genius, and an icon and inspiration to millions the world over, and with his passing comes a great loss. In his final years of life, he suffered from cancer which was no doubt very painful and placed tough hardships on his family and friends. A hardship that no one should have to endure. Now that he is gone, they know that he is now not suffering anymore pain. Yes, they greif, and they will for a long time, probably for the rest of their lives but I'd like to think that they're happy that Steve doesn't have to go through the misery he's been in for the last part of his life. And with that, my thoughts go out to his family, friends, colleuges, and everyone he inspired. "
