Oh sure, just neglect my apology, how forgiving of you.

I've brushed a lot off already, you know how, because your behaviour was the only way you knew how to conduct yourself with the information, beliefs and priorities you had at any given moment in time.

Let me give you a scenario:

(1) Right/Wrong Path
The indicative emotions are:
- Stress
- Frustration
- Annoyance

(2) Missing Out
The indicative emotions are:
- Sadness
- Sorrow
- Grief
- Loss
- Disappointment

(3) Could've/Should've
The indicative emotions are:
- Blame
- Guilt
- Criticism
- Anger
- Resentment

(4) Worth Less
The indicative emotions are:
- Helpless
- Useless
- Worthless
- Inadequate
- Overwhelmed

You're in a theatre trying to watch a movie but the kid behind you keeps kicking the back of your chair. You could just sit through the discomfort you're experiencing, or you could react to it out of frustration and annoyance, and initiate the wrong path, feel you're missing out on respect, the kid shouldn't be kicking the back of your chair because it's making you very angry, so you turn around and yell at him, the kid starts crying and disrupts many more people and you start to feel worth less, attaching thoughts like I'm an idiot to your self-worth, I should have been a bit gentler in my approach to the situation.

Let me give you another one:

Your dog knocks over and smashes an expensive vase, you could just not worry about it and clean it up, but since you have an attachment to it, you initiate the wrong path (the vase was broken), you don't have a lovely looking vase anymore so now you're missing out, your dog shouldn't have broken the vase and you become very angry and resentful towards your dog, so you inflict suffering upon it, but then you start to feel worth less and attach animal abuser to your self-worth, and feel that you shouldn't have been so harsh on the poor thing.

How do you upgrade the feels that you're experiencing?

Well, life is a journey, you're always learning and receiving from your environment, you only know what you know with the information, beliefs and priorities you have at any given moment in time, and your self-worth can never be compromised. Because after all, you're a human being, not a human doing.

I'm sorry if that went over your head still, I'm trying.

Hey Shell B, could you delete my account and all my posts, I'm kind of getting the feeling that you don't want to seek understanding.

No. Here's why:

You participated in this forum and to delete your posts would throw every thread you have been in out of whack. If you do not want to participate, go away. If you do, stay.

Now, as for seeking understanding, that is a bullshit way of saying, "I can see that you will not be brainwashed into thinking precisely like me." I disagree with you, dude, get over it. I could just as easily turn around and say that you do not want to seek understanding because your pet therapy method is the only thing you wish to see as viable in the field of psychiatry.

I didn't neglect it, but I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of you making a condescending remark towards others for something you yourself are guilty of. Apology or not, you can't talk down at everyone for things you are not above.

Why do you disagree that negative emotions cause you stress?

Well, I apologise for blaming you for not forgiving me then, I only knew what I knew with the information, beliefs and priorities I had at the time.

I thought you hadn't accepted my apology for my reaction, so I blamed you for not being forgiving towards me.
