They are fruits.

In the United States, tomatoes have legally been considered a vegetable since 1893.

That still doesn't make it correct.

It does not eat the pizzas that way. Even the appearance is terrible. IMO , they should add extra tomatoes.

Either way if it is a fruit or a vegetable, it is still ridiculous to say that the tomato sauce used in pizza is a vegetable.. Let's use the scientific process here.

Pizza

Has pizza sauce on it

Pizza sauce is made from tomato sauce

Has the word tomato in it

Tomatoes are vegetables

Vegetables are healthy

Pizza is healthy

What's next? Corn syrup will be considered a new healthy smoothie? Let's use the scientific process again.

Corn Syrup

Has the word corn in it

Corn is a vegetable

Vegetables are healthy

Corn Syrup is healthy

I didn't claim that it did. But it helps explain this decision a little.
That will never hold up in court...

For us Pizza is that wonderful treat that IS yummy as most of our diet is 'nutritional' and lean in fats and proteins. And no the American pizza is nothing like the Italian one which is made from scratch and probably much more nutritious.
