Calling all Democrats...
November 29, 2011 at 7:28 pm
This is a very important election. This year is like no other. Little by little, I notice our freedoms are under assault. I think we can all agree that everyone, bar Dr. Paul, in the Republican field is batshit insane. I mean, during the debate on foreign policy, when Santorum was talking about Muslims, he sounded like Hitler speaking about Jews. Now, I respect your intent and right to vote for Obama, but wouldn't you rather have a real choice in this election? Wouldn't you want to see Obama defend his policies against someone who the status quo didn't decide we can vote for? I urge you all to switch your registrations to Republican, just to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, so he makes it to the general. When that comes, if you still want to vote for Obama that is absolutely your choice. But we shouldn't let the elites and the media decide who we can vote for!

Would love to see Ron Paul actually in the election, even if he doesn't win. The public deserve to have two candidates who weren't simply selected by corporate America.

So long as the current generation of republicans still draw breath, there can be no choice other than voting for whatever scrap the democrats manage to pick up and toss into the election cycle.

Ron Paul may be the best of current options, but that doesn't make him suddenly palatable.
Though, if it boils down to voting in the local primaries, I'm going to vote in the repub primaries for Huntsman or Paul. Why? Because batshit never deserves a fighting chance.
As the incumbent historically wins, it would be rude of me to not let the Republican party know that I, as a voter, disapprove of their evangelical, fascist hijinks. The DNC can have it's echo chamber. Maybe it will grow them some balls.
If Paul or Huntsman win their primaries, then we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. But if any other BS repub wins, I'm gonna have to liquor myself up and vote Odrama.

Year after year we vote for the person who is likely to screw us the least. I say we make this year different. I mean, Obama has a treasure chest of support. He is not doing so hot in the polls, but beleive me, he will not be easy to beat. And I think the Republicans will take that for granted. Obama has gays, lesbians, Jews, Muslims, Blacks, Democrats, Atheists, union workers, and nearly half of America relies on Uncle Sam for support. Does it make any sense that the GOP would nominate somebody who has the potential to turn away all those afformentioned voters? Ron Paul has the capacity to attract voters from all sides of the spectrum.
If Dr. Paul has the honor of becoming President, he will:
1. Phase out the IRS
2. End Income taxes
3. Bring our brave men and women home where they are loved and not hated. From everywhere, not just Iraq and Afghanistan!
4.And this is a big one- End the FED. (JFK was the last President that wanted to do this! Abe Lincoln wanted to restrict the globalist elites from forming a national bank)
5.Stop all foreign aid- Americans deserve our money more then any foriegn country does!
6.Secure our borders
7. Repeal the UNpatriot ACT!
8. Balance the budget in his 3rd year with $1 trillion in cuts the first year!
9.Abolish corporate subsidies and return spending to 06 levels
10. As President, Ron Paul will take home a salary of $39,336 which is about equal to the average median income, instead of the current President's $400,000 salary!

As a president, Ron Paul wouldn't even deserve minimum wage much less average wage.

Chuck, Ron Paul is only tied to the Republicans in a marriage of convience. He is a strict Constitutionalist and a libertarian.

Well I respect your opinion Minimalist, I have to disagree. Sanity always sounds insane to insane people. The Republican Messiah Reagan ran for President 3X before he was elected, and the firt 2 times people thought he was "batshit insane". Remember "vodoo economics"!
