The music was divine and one of the sopranos was heavenly!

Christians honestly believe that the problems in the U.S. (and the world for that matter) are related to the secularization of this country. We have turned away from god and, as the Bible states many times, when the people turn away from god, god will turn away from them. It's in the Bible therefore it's true. No need to look anywhere else for any other cause. This is what is preached in many many churches across the countries. It is the central theme in many prayer rallies. It is the reason why they try so hard to get fundie Christians in political office.
Of course if all else fails atheists make a great scapegoat. Blame is better to give than receive. Here is your musical accompaniment:
