Quote: give them reproductive options (namely, birth control) and MAKE SURE THEY USE IT.
Well that certainly sounds ominous.
Quote: The patriarchy is real, and society does train women and men to think in certain way about gender roles and such. I wouldn't call it brainwashing per se, though. The patriarchy isn't really even about sex/gender but about class. Men are the privileged class, and women are the oppressed. This is why women tend to have lower SES (socioeconomic status) than men all over the world.
The patriarchy is real ay? Citations please. I want a definition of what it is, and proof it exists. So far we have, it's "about class", with men being the privileged class, and women the oppressed class. Oppressed by whom?
And no, for this discussion I don't give a shit about elsewhere in the world, lets keep it western world thanks, the english speaking countries even. Does patriarchy exist in the US/Aus/UK… and how does it cause any wage gap here?
And yeah, my options post conception are nill. If women can absolve themselves of responsibility for it post conception, so too should I be able to. Equality right?
Nemo me impune lacessit.
