Isn't he the guy who sent all his Roman soldiers to the shores of Northern France just to collect seashells?

So Suetonius....writing nearly 100 years later...says.

His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal, Al Hadji, Doctor, Lord of All the Beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and Conqueror of the British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular. Oh, and the last King of Scotland, Idi Amin Dada.

As far as I know rumors of cannibalism were unsubstantiated. Of course that’s probably of little comfort to the parents of the children he ate.

Not really. What he claimed was at least within the realm of physical possibility. If he was really nuts he would have claimed to be son of god, born of a virgin, and his sycophantic posse would say he walked on water and turned water into wine.

Our great and dear leader, Bashbugh Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He has resurrected the Turkish nation from the ashes of a dead empire, and founded the last remaining bastion of free Turkish presence in Eurasia.
Others would include Osman Batur, a hero for our cause, fighting the red menace to save his people from bondage. He was killed by the chinese after having his ears and arms cut off, and finally beheaded, and archived martyrdom.
Sadly, many people in Turkey know the Argentinian hothead called Che Guavera, but not much are told about Osman Batur, a martyr for the Turkish cause. Another one would be Yörük Ali Efe, and Topal Osman, leaders and heroes of the struggle here.
Another, even less liked one would be Enver Paşa, a prominent Turkist, although not the best military leader, who has fought and died for the freedom of Turks in Turkestan.

Joseph fucking Stalin. Proving a man can be a god without being god. His countrymen died by the millions just to protect his namesake city from the Nazis. They charged into killing fields of mines, machineguns, and tanks and many times weren't even armed with more than bricks or clubs, and they did it screaming Stalin's name. The religious wish they had balls on that level. They wish they had sheep that ignorant, that credulous, that hopeful in their beliefs.

The religious always Stalin up in debates about the merits of atheism vs. religion. Why? Because they fail to realize that a god need not be metaphysical to be worshiped, for one...and for another...because they envy the fuck out of him. The muslims think they know something about fanatacism because they can strap bombs to themselves once every so often and blow themselves up. Trying rushing MG nests with NOTHING until the enemy runs out of bullets. THEN come talk to me about fanaticism.

Also the Victoria Cross is for ladies, hence why it is named after a woman. Case in point: Victorian Cross: Given only if you were too cowardly to die. Medal of Honor: You need to die first. >: D
