Why is the sin nature inherited?

Of course, the best explanation is that "God" in that story was just another limited deity left over from a more primitive polytheistic Hebrew culture.

All this talk of "The Fall" being part of god's plan is nothing but doublethink, a way of eating your cake and having it at the same time. A&E were 'created' sinless, then made to sin by having the temptation placed within arms reach right in the middle of the garden. Being human they inevitably give into said temptation, as this god already knew they would, and god jumps out at them going "Ha ha, gotcha!" and kicking them out of the garden; all of which this god knew would happen yet punished them for it anyway? It's absurd, even for a fairytale.

This god supposedly created the scenario and the characters withing it preset to fall, then supposedly hovers around in the background waiting for their descendants to seek it out and beg forgiveness for being made as humans with all the frailties and foibles of human nature which have been planned out in every detail from the beginning anyway. If this character was to own a casino, all the tables would be rigged to be unwinnable.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Once Adam and Eve sinned, they became imperfect as you said, so imperfect offspring were inevitable. Sin effected every corner of the creation, it put everything in a state of corruption. Adam and Eve were told by God to populate the world before the fall, hope this answers your questions.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Those were my premises...you didn't answer anything.

He didn't say he already had the answers. He said you merely reiterated his premises.

So, let's get this straight. BEFORE they sinned they were "perfect" and after they ate the apple they became imperfect?

Frankly, that sounds so ass-backwards that only a theist could come up with it.

And only a theist could believe it. That or a particularly backward child.
