I'd have to disagree, but I've been using computers for 20 years & have seen some pretty bad operating systems.

Did you try going into the Windows Management Console & looking for errors there? It sounds like it could be a Windows Installer related problem.

I'll fix it & set it up for free if you pay the shipping costs both ways. Big Grin

Yep. W7 is the best, most stable Windows release yet. I'm far from a fanboy, actually more of a Linux geek, and I can say that this is the first release that I actually have liked. XP was pretty good, W7 is a huge improvement.

Of course, having a stable OS isn't going to matter if the hardware you're running it on is flaky.

Total agreement there. My other partition is Linux Mint. Big Grin

Gonna be taking a look into some of the suggested issues. I should probably point out that the title is an exaggeration and mostly out of annoyance than anything else but damn, having such a major problem within the first 90 days of use isn't doing much to leave a good impression on me. And take in mind I'm no computer expert but all the same, I've been using them for almost 20 years and am usually quite capable of troubleshooting all the problems and issues that come up without needing advice but this one has me stumped.
