I m sorry but internet dating cries "desperate".

If you have a shitty attitude like that, you are going to find it hard to find anyone.

I never understood the aversion to online dating. Imagine if when the car was first invented, there was a large group of people saying that we should keep using horses because that's what has been traditionally used. In both situations your just shirking an obvious advancement for the sake of some vague tradition. Online dating offers you the ability to find a companion more proficiently than personally going to bars or clubs.

I don't like it myself just because there are a large number of creeps online, but if you don't have the option of meeting in large groups of like-minded people then it is your best bet. Added to the fact that I've met just as large a number of awesome people online, it makes it a fair way of discovering companionship.

I should have added: if online dating screams “desperate" what do you think whining about it on an online forum sounds like?

Met my GF online at POF. We've been together going on 5 years now.

Worked a treat for us.

What's great about online sites (assuming participants are honest), is the inherent pre-screening capability.

For busy people, it dramatically speeds up the process.

whining??!??!?!??! my only question in my post was: In the future will there be complications with theist companions?

Only one of you answered me, all the rest just diverted me into finding someone else.

So...you want answers, not solutions?

Yes, whining. We gave you some solutions in case you wanted to avoid the problem. You insulted a rather popular and oft-proven method of people finding companions who shared their ideals.

If it's answers you want, I suspect you'll find them as individual as everyone providing one. You see, my lack of religiosity, particularly of a specific kind, DID cause friction with my last theistic boyfriend. I'm sure others on here could all give similar stories. And I'm sure just as many, if they piped up, could cite the opposite..and varying shades in between.

The real question is how important such things are to you, and whether or not you'll want to have kids and how you want to raise them. Only once you answer that can you really tackle whether or not you'll have complications.
