Not really. It depends on the context.

My rule of thumb: unless someone actually comes out and says something that specifically mentions race in some derogatory way, don't play the racism card.

Why are the Majority of UN resolutions against individual countries against Israel? Since they are often proposed by countries vastly worse it means there is something particular about Israel.

More like criticize - and NO country is immune from it when they screw the pooch.

And I'm not so stupid that I can't distinguish between a country's people and their government.

All very well but that doesn't explain way Israel gets so much attention. Personally I beleive it is because of i the incredible chauvinism in Muslim countries where they don;t care when Muslims oppress muslims but they are outraged that jews, who their Koran tells them to kill, dare have their own state in 'muslim lands'.

Currently the left in the west pathetically suck up to Islam.

You are all antisemites for saying that. He was a great man who stood up for his people & refused to let them be persecuted again.

Not wanting to let your own people be persecuted doesn't give you carte blanche in the persecution and murder of others. You seem to have a lot of difficulty grasping the difference between criticizing a brutal thug who happens to be Jewish and criticizing someone FOR being Jewish.

Ariel Sharon was just a tinpot tyrant personality type that fit perfectly with his regional dictator rulers that he and every other Israeli government supports (with US backing of course). What I find absurd and disgusting is that the New York Times ran a front page obituary yesterday with a glowing article. Pathetic and lame. I mean when Sinn Fean leaders died I don't think Boston newspapers run glowing articles about them ... and Irish American humans heavily supported the nationalist struggle. If anything Israel isn't singled out negatively it gets special attention from the US in positive ways.

he was certainly a great man who also did questionable things. His early life in the Irgun when he advocated attacking British soldiers during WW2 is pretty appalling however his later actions were very impressive.

Criticizing a Jewish person isn't antisemitism, but criticizing a Jewish person for defending their people is.
