You are proving nothing. You just keep making unsupported assertions and recycling tired old arguments.

God gives humanity the freedom to commit genocide. It seems god has a twisted view of "personal freedom". No thank you. I don't consider the god of the bible a moral role model. I consider the god of the bible a narcissist who kills millions for worshipping the wrong god, yet refuses to intervene when people are being systematically tortured.

It's worse. He gives freedom to commit genocide in HIS name and doesn't do anything about it when his fanclub starts slaughtering the masses.

Then, apparently, he punishes those who were slaughtered with hell for not believing in him or believing in him another way, as well as those who question because they wonder how a "good" deity could allow it, while rewarding his devout followers who carried out the evil with a place in heaven.

Seems a really screwed up god to me.

@Chas, You are right. I can't give you any scientific proof of God... its a faith you accept or reject. I accepted, you rejected.

Imperfect men create imperfect gods. A real god, one that was truly perfect, would not be so imperfect when confronted with logic and reason.

It's your use of "who created" rather than "how did this arise" that prompted my fixation.

We did. As methods of interpreting the material universe around us, in ways that make sense to us.

Off so soon? What about that exchange of knowledge, or would you rather exchange knowledge with sources that reinforce your biases?

A real God, by definition of perfection, could be nothing more than an ideal to strive toward.

Rather then wait for people who don't believe in the same imaginary sky being as you to go to hell, you and your ilk are more than content to make it a hell here on Earth.

I hope you're proud of yourself.

Brother we are both human beings. Any kind of pain hurts me as much as it is going to hurt you. Why would I wish for you to be in pain?

I don't know, you tell me?

Again, you, and/or your religion, happily believe that because I don't subscribe to your belief system, I'm going to end up somewhere which I presume is supposed to be not very nice where all this torture malarkey occurs (just a note, I'm not, I'll be dead and nobody knows what's going to happen).

This is why I can't stand religions that try their best to convert and involve themselves in the affairs/beliefs of others. You are compelled, commanded even,to 'save' us, even though we've not asked for it and believe your religion to be a joke but without the laughs.

It's also this that makes this one life unbearable for some. Your religions spiritual and temporal decrees on things like homosexuality, food, clothes, behaviour and so on. Your religion restricts liberties for those that don't deserve it, those who just want to be themselves without causing any harm to others. Those that want to believe something else, or indeed not have a belief in your religious dogmas.

I'm not your brother. If only you and your religion could accept that, then maybe more of humanity could start to be friends.

I won't like something for you which I don't like for myself. What is more precious to someone than his or her self ?

Its not that nobody knows. You actually choose to reject and you have your reasons. I believe in after life and I have my reasons.
And Yes death will reveal everything to us. Whether you were in denial or I was delusional.

Now let's rationally consider this. If death is as you believe to be then we both gonna end up in the same dumpster. We won't even have the mindfulness to know the result. But If death is what I believe to be then I will sure have the opportunity to come to you and say "I told you so" Tongue Tongue

I understand what your saying because the same but opposite attitude also calls for patience.. The best way to handle this tension of difference is with patience. I don't care what anybody else does but I prefer patience.

My religion doesn't SAY to call you my brother. I said it out of respect. You don't like it, I won't say it. No issue Smile
