Since when do Christians take orders from Satan?

Since this guy, apparently.

Since all the fucking time. Christians are always claiming that Satan has influenced their bad decisions.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Yeah, I can't imagine where anyone would ever get the idea that Satan tries to influence the minds of believers into committing immoral acts. Rolleyes

Are we talking being influenced or being told? Anyone can be influenced to make a bad decision under the right circumstances, but being told to make one, is completely different.

And you can't be influenced into doing what you're told?

Have you never heard the phrase the Devil made me do it?

Sure you can, but the story says nothing about the guy being influenced, just that he was doing what he was told to do, which included urinating on the monument, but go ahead and keep trying to label him as a christian when you never heard him claim any such thing.

Once again I must quote Sionnach

I love it when Christians advocate for a form of justice that would justify followers of other religions vandalizing Christian idols, er, monuments.

Special pleading and entitlement mentality at it's finest.

You know what thought really frightens me? The idea of her taking this defense to a jury of twelve average schmos from Florida.

No, you're right: I should definitely take the word of some random guy who's never met the man in question, over that of his own mother. That seems like the rational course of action, as it's clear that the person who has never met him would know more about him than his parent.

Oh wait: I don't have to do either. I can read what the man himself said about god, just before heading to freaking bible college. Dodgy

I find it intensely bothersome that you continue to treat us all like one big atheist hive mind, as though the words of someone else are automatically part of my beliefs.
