2. The New Testament tells you to do the exact opposite thing to a fool as exactly a verse before it.

According to the bible, two people of the same sex cannot be married, so they also cannot divorce because they weren't married in the first place.
Really?
What verse?

I'm not sure if it quite fits the bill, but Christianity would implode if all knowledge and reference to it was wiped out in an instant. Jesus and Yahweh would instantly stop "interacting" and "communicating" and the religion would be dead and buried forever.

Did xtianity "implode" in Scandinavia?  No.  It withers when enough people walk away from it.

Genesis 1:27-28English Standard Version (ESV)
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Matthew 19:4-6English Standard Version (ESV)
4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

These two quotes both relate to a man and woman joining in a union, becoming "one flesh", and multiplying. Two men or two women cannot multiply. I'll grant you that the bible doesn't specifically condemn marriage between people of the same sex, but the bible condemns sexual relations between them. So if same sex marriage is OK according to the bible, it would have to be a marriage without sexual relations.

Who cares what it says?

What relevance is a goat herders' manual from c. 300 BC to us in the 21st century?

Here in England, God and Jesus are sometimes seen begging for change in bus stops.

No point in doing anything much really.
The religion has a quarter-life equal to the difference between the average age of the church-goers and the average life expectancy.
ie; If life expectancy is 85 and the average age of church-goers is 65 in 20 years the size of congregation will have fallen by 25% and the difference halved to 10 years.
Following this pattern the average churchgoer in the UK will have reached life expectancy around 2030, at which point the difference is zero and the church will cease to exist in any meaningful sense.

so gay marriage wasnt addressed at all only heterosexual marriage was addressed in the bible . you interpret that to mean God is against gay marriage thats the problem with interpretation it always supports a persons predjudice because the wording is vague enough to be interpreted any way the interpreter wants .

No, because it is outright in condemning sexual acts between people of the same sex, and I assume that's what homosexual marriage entails. I need no prejudice to interpret the bible in that regard. It's clear to me that if you follow the teachings of the bible you will not think that homosexual marriage is OK. I can understand someone believing it is OK, but not because they follow the bible.
