I see bigot being throwed around alot, absent reason.

Perhaps 'bigot' is a as usefull a term as 'sinner'. Food for thought and all that shit.

Bigot is everyone disliking a certain group of people just for belonging to that group of people. The reason why you see bigot that often here is that we have our fair share of bigots.

To me, a bigot is someone who treats people worse just because they are different, or voices an opinion that they should be treated worse or are fundamentally worse people.

I wouldn't count just disliking a certain group as being bigoted. You can't control who you like or dislike, even if the reason is irrational and generalised.

I'd advocate to exclude pedophiles from jobs involving children just on the basis of them belonging to that group. I mean just on that basis with no prior convictions or incidents.

I think this is the problem with the definition is if that is the definition it makes most people bigots. It's not even clear what you're excluding the group from, from being in the country, from getting a certain job, having sex with you, coming into your home, riding certain riders in a theme park? these are all forms of exclusions.
And does the group have to be based on inherent racial or gender characteristics or fluid characteristics like being loud or drunk?

I think it would depend on what form the bigotry takes. For example, I've often slept with women who were bigoted against not having sex with me.
