Monkeying Around in the Garden of Eden

RE: Monkeying Around in the Garden of Eden
Lek considers anything deep when in reference to a religious person having stated it.

That always seems to be the problem.

Religious people veritably wearing rose colored glasses that make their biblical god seem infallible.

In fact we are invisible.
Our consciousness is invisible and that is US.

The body is not invisible but the body is not us.
The body express our small amount of consciousness which has nothing to do with the consciousness within or the real I.

This is a very deep philosophical thought which most people can not grasp until their consciousness get
bigger and bigger.

I find absolutely laughable to see how many kudos you got for expressing this idiotic comment.  Smile

If our conscious is the mirror of "gods" why don't we know what he knows? and if it can get bigger and bigger do we surpass "God"?

No shit. No wonder people call god the biggest psychopath ever.

Good? Why? If God wanted to forgive "our sins" committed by a man that (if you acknowledge evolution) never existed, why not just forgive and skip the sadomasochism of his son (or correctly himself)? I mean just look at yourself and where your religion has driven you to the point that you think that torture and murder are good.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Actually, did not the bible suggest that after eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge that we did know as god knows?

Genesis 3

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Evolution does not demonstrate that Adam never existed. Because the creation story isn't a word for word rendering doesn't mean that it's not true. Myths have been used to throughout history to demonstrate truths. We all live with a nature which is prone to sin because of the sin of Adam. We don't have to sin, but when we do, as we all do, we are guilty of the same sin. You're taking too much liberty when to take my statement that killing can be justified and that suffering can be good. and then saying that I think murder and torture are good. You're method is to keep attacking, whether it's true or not, and hoping something will stick.

Good point for the inexperienced in the spirituality field but very obvious for the experienced.

According to yoga this physical universe is God's lila or the cosmic play.
Everything sprung out his cosmic mind so nothing is external to him but in this cosmic game part of his big consciousness become small (creation stage) into space, air, light, water and when it reach the bottom as the thought is turned into matter this stage sign or mark the beginning of evolution in order to bring back the thought into his mind.
Very strange for an atheist to believe but that is how according yoga the system works.

As evolution reach the stage of human then slowly slowly it become more and more clear that evolution
must reach a goal and that is to have this human consciousness to merge into the cosmic ocean of consciousness and to realize that we are God.

Obviously we know what God knows as we climb the stages of high consciousness and for achieving that it need a lot of hard work which again is part and parcel of God cosmic game.
As far as surpass God that question doesn't make any sense.
We have sprung out God mind so there is no other place to end up other than back into his mind.  Lightbulb

Easily explained mate.

The clergy become so corrupted that in order to keep the chair of power and be intermediaries between
God and the people they needed to create the hell so people would be afraid and follow them without any questions.
From that time on everything fell apart.
Dogma after dogma sprung out and now we got religious people that haven't got a clue about what Jesus
Buddha, Shiva, Krishna and many other spiritual beings were saying.
Sad indeed.  Rolleyes
