Gina Miller to launch ANOTHER legal attack on Theresa May and Brexit

The wealthy businesswoman and campaigner, who was the public face of the legal action in the High Court over giving parliament a say in the country leaving the EU, has now said that the House of Lords, the country’s upper house, should also be given a “proper debate” on the issue.

Ms Miller said that if the Supreme Court rejects the Government appeal against the High Court ruling, Mrs May should not try to bypass the Lords.

She told The Daily Telegraph: "[There needs to be] proper debate in both houses and an act of Parliament. A resolution or a motion wouldn't be debated in both houses."

The move, should it happen, may prove to be an issue for Prime Minister Theresa May as the Conservatives do not have a majority in the Lords.

MPs were warned they would be attempting to 'thwart' the will of the people if they refused to endorse the plans.

The run-up to the debate on a Labour opposition motion was dominated by a major U-turn from Mrs May.

Theresa May has said the UK "cannot possibly" remain within the European single market, as staying in it would mean "not leaving the EU at all".

But the prime minister promised to push for the "freest possible trade" with European countries and to sign new deals with others around the world.

She also announced Parliament would get to vote on the final deal agreed between the UK and the EU.
But Labour warned of "enormous dangers" in the prime minister's plans.

Mrs May used her much-anticipated speech to announce her priorities for Brexit negotiations, including maintaining the common travel area between the UK and Irish Republic and "control" of migration between the UK and the EU.

I think you mean the country will be successful. You just want this country to fail for some reason. It's good that we're finally breaking free from the shackles of the EU.

We're first in line for a trade deal with the US and Trump is talking about large tariffs on German cars, so it's nice to see the Germans might finally get taught a lesson again.
