Relation. We think of our past and the nostalgia and OUR MOST EMOTIONAL MOMENTS.

We think of how we all have those most emotional moments. We all have times we have cried about something that means so much. Why can't we just all bond like that? WHY CAN'T WE USE THAT to find meaning in the phrase "Why can't we all just get along?"

You know.... I feel like out there there is some alien race that isn't that much smarter or more impressive than us.... but is just consistently more advanced enough to be in our most loving and empathetic state all the time so as to have a civilised peaceful planet.

We all share the fact we have unique moments of sorrow. When we can't be physically affectionate we can find other ways, you know?

Primary cat is many things, but 'graceful' is not on the list.

Although he is a big kitty (15 pounds or so), he was 27 pounds at one point before the vet had me diet the hell out of him. He has a humongous (but adorable) udder structure that I'm not sure the docs on Botched could fix. He is unconcerned about 'stealth' or sneakiness in general, he just gallops around the house noisily when he is not being a slug.

Well it looks like the matriarch is going to be wearing a lovely "cone of shame" soon. She won't stop licking herself and has caused some sores to appear. Telling her to stop licking is pointless. I just get a dirty look and then the death stare complete with a swishing tail.

I wouldn't care if she licked herself all day, but the hairballs she brings up are nasty.

2 went to the vet this AM.

Continues to improve, but still cocks head to the right, and has not regained a steady gait. Appetite is coming back and he is acting pretty close to his old self.

Go back to the vet in a week, no shots today, continue antibiotics.

LOL, 2 was pacing around the living room last night, and then plunked down near his little rumpled cat bed and then stared at me. I went and straightened out his bed and he plunked down in it.

He's still being a team player and taking his antibiotics without much drama or struggle. Even the ear drops which need to be kept refrigerated aren't setting him off.

This cat has been quite a surprise all along, if not for his good looks, I would never have even considered trying to tame a nearly full grown feral cat out hiding in the yard. It took months for him to calm down, but now, 5 years later he's really been a great cat.

If we could just get past the head tilt and his still somewhat wobbly gait, he'd be back to normal fully.

Glad he's improving and doing loads better. The kittens, whom we rescued last year when they were four weeks old just celebrated birthdays this week. I can't believe they are a year old now. And so big.... When we first found them, they could easily curl up in one of our hands. Now they are as big as the adult cats.

had another vet appt.

Did get another steroid shot, but otherwise we are holding the course.

Cat is doing so well in the carrier I ran a few errands on way home. He was a little antsy towards the end of that, maybe thought we were going back to the vet again?


Next appt is in 2 weeks. If he'd just hold his head level, I know he still doesn't 'feel right' that way, and he still is having some unsteadiness while walking.

Continuing antibiotics too.

Sounds like apart from the head tilt thing, that he's almost back to normal.
