An international market opened a comfortable walk from my home, so I've been a very happy guy recently. I have a constant supply of stuffed grape leaves at hand. The abundance of Greek food in Baton Rouge is heartening, if somewhat confusing, since I'm not aware of a large Greek community here. But there are a lot of Greek/Lebanese restaurants in this town. My wife and I have been filling in our eat-out-favorites card for months. We have our favorite places to go for Greek/Lebanese, Chinese, sushi, Pho, BBQ, pizza, and a little down-at-heel Mexican joint we found that is unusually good. We still haven't found a Thai place we can really get behind. But we will.

It's leftovers night. If my daughter hasn't gotten to them already, I'm going to scarf down a couple of samosas that were in the fridge. If they're already gone, there's some leftover linguine with peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and hot Italian sausage (but I had that for lunch).
Just had a couple slabs from a homegrown watermelon a neighbor dropped off.

I made a tagliatelli carbonara with cut up pork-chop instead of bacon a few nights back. The gf doesn't like bacon, imagine that.
She didn't like the porkchop either XD, but she liked the rest.

I'm not eating anything as it's 6:30am and I generally can't eat this early. One kid had cereal and I'm making grits (sweet style) for the other kid as they get ready for school.
